Chef Govind Armstrong has opened a new restaurant, Post & Beam, with his partner Brad Johnson. They’re bringing sophisticated Southern food like deviled eggs with house-smoked catfish, grilled beer-brined pork chops, and long-cooked beans with ham hocks to Baldwin Hills. There are also fresh California dishes on the menu like salads using produce from their patio garden, hand-stretched pizza pies cooked in a wood-burning oven, and roasted salmon with Romesco sauce.
