Dandy Don’s welcomes its newest ice cream client: The Slaw Dogs.  Slaw Dogs is a unique hot dog restaurant located in Pasadena, CA.  It recently opened a new branch in Woodland Hills.  Slaw Dogs starts with many different kinds of hot dogs (kosher dogs, spicy links, chicken-apple sausage, veggie dogs) and then creates a myriad of gourmet toppings for its customers to choose from.  Of course there’s coleslaw and Thai slaw (hence the name), sauerkraut, relish, grilled onions, and jalapenos.  But then there are the esoteric toppings like curry mustard, goat cheese, kimchi, truffle oil, and more.  Sides include Belgian fries, sweet-potato fries, and beer-battered onion rings.  Check it out!

Dandy Don visited a new ice cream account, Burger City Grill in Lomita, CA.  They have a new combo–America’s favorite buger combo–of a burger, fries, and a shake (made with Dandy Don’s Ice Cream, of course).  Here’s a photo of Dandy Don with the crew from Burger City Grill.  (Notice the tubs of Dandy Don’s Ice Cream behind them on the right?)

Our wholesale ice cream client, Mo’s Restaurant in Burbank, is celebrating its 15th anniversary.  There’s a party on October 27th with complimentary appetizers like mini burgers, and there will be live music, to boot.  Mo’s is located at 4301 Riverside Drive in Burbank.

Dandy Don’s Ice Cream client Cafe Cordiale turns 25 this year.  As part of the celebration, they’re running a Maine lobster special for the month of October.  From Sunday through Thursday you can get a lobster tail and two filet mignon medallions with sweet-potato fries and veggies for $20.  What a sweet deal!  Don’t forget to order a scoop of our Vanilla or Chocolate ice cream for dessert ($6).  Happy Anniversary Cafe Cordiale!
