Dandy Don’s Ice Cream will be serving 2000 root beer floats at the 2nd annual L.A. BBQ Festival this weekend (Saturday, May 9th and Sunday May 10th) in Santa Monica.  See you there!

Jim Lewi on his LiveWorks Newsletter blog hailed the servers of Dandy Don’s Ice Cream for their intelligent and efficient work at a recent fundraiser.  He wrote, “Don’s staff knew what they were doing.  They were friendly, organized, and had pre-scooped their ice cream.  This may sound like a stupid thing to notice, but believe me, at a festival or event, it makes all the difference.  The super-nice woman who I spoke to explained that not only does it make serving customers faster… and  make sure servers’ arms don’t fall off, but also keeps their product’s consistency stable.  When a customer gets their ice cream, it is at just the right temperature.  Their ice cream is supposed to be hard and ‘you can’t really scoop hard ice cream’.”

Dandy Don’s served hot fudge sundaes at the Planned Parenthood fundraiser tonight.  Here’s a pic of Dandy Don himself and one of our servers in our black-and-white booth.

Dandy Don’s HomeMade Ice Cream is voluntarily removing peanut products from our Sundae Bar Toppings because of the possible health risk.

A high-end photographer booked Dandy Don’s Ice Cream to surprise a client.  At his request, we added elegant touches to our ice cream sundae bar like freshly whipped cream and pieces of fresh fruit. The ice cream was scooped into waffle cone bowls instead of paper bowls and the spoons had a shiny metallic coating that made them look like flatware.  The party was a smash hit and the photographer received many thank-you calls.
